Credit card security

Online security is provided by Secure Trading. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed and submitted for processing. They are not held in clear text on any web site. We know of no documented cases of credit card numbers being stolen using our shopping system.

Mistakes on your bill

Postage & Packing

The 'postage and packing' cost includes preparation, packaging and postage and is fixed at £2.95 UKP for standard deliveries.

Delivery time

We aim to ship all orders within 48 hours of receipt. Delivery times for orders placed at contact2.com are as follows:

UK and Ireland: Please allow 2-7 working days.
USA: Please allow 6-10 working days.
EU and Europe: Please allow 10-15 working days.
Rest of the World including Canada: Please allow 15-20 working days.

Orders to EU, Europe and "Rest of the World" are dispatched via Royal Mail.

Get in touch with us immediately if your order does not arrive when it should (see above). We'll find out what happened to your order and get it to your doorstep ASAP. Sorry, but we cannot replace missing orders that are received by someone else on your behalf.

Back orders

If we are unable to fulfill your order for any reason we will send you an email or telephone you to explain. Your credit / debit card will not be billed until we dispatch your order to you. You may cancel any item on back order at any time by emailing us at ordering.query@contact2.com

Complaints

Should you ever have a problem with our product or the contact2.com website please contact us at once (details are at the top of this page) - contact2.com's Customer Care team is here to help. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within three working days and we promise to deal with your complaint quickly, fairly and in total confidence. We will also advise you how long we estimate it will take to resolve your complaint. If you wish to return a product to us, please read the Returns section below.

Faulty goods

If any items are faulty or develop a fault at any time during their lifetime, please email us details of the problem at care@contact2.com. We will refund the cost of any faulty product or we will replace it free of charge, which ever your prefer.

Returns

Within 14 days of receipt of your order, you may return any unused items for a full refund. Please note that we can process returns and refunds only for items purchased from contact2.com.

The UK's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations require that you provide written notice of cancellation (i.e. you wish to return the goods) within 7 working days. Goods do not have to be returned within this period for you to secure a refund. A refund must be made within 30 days of cancellation, irrespective of whether goods have been returned at this stage. If goods have not been returned, where requested by us, we are entitled to make a charge to reflect the cost of collecting goods from the delivery address and deduct this from the refund.

To return an item, please wrap your goods securely and please include our original packing slip with your return. If you do not have your packing slip, please indicate the order number on a separate piece of paper. We would appreciate it if you could indicate the reason for returning an item, but this is entirely optional.

For your protection, we recommend that you use an insured recorded delivery for shipment. Please note that we can only refund shipping costs if the return is a result of our error or if your are returning a faulty product.

Refunds

We will notify you via email of your refund (see Returns) and we aim to do this within seven working days. Please note that we can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error or a faulty product.

Tax charges

All items offered for sale include UK / EU VAT taxes. The purchaser is responsible for any other taxes (such as import tax) that may be levied.

VAT is a statutory tax in the UK and EU, this is automatically removed for goods being delivered outside the European Union.

Privacy policy

Zircon Ventures Ltd, owners of Contact2, are committed to safeguarding the privacy of users to our site. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice.

We collect information about you for two reasons. Firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not send promotional email to you unless you have given us your consent. Every promotional email message sent from contact2.com includes instructions on how to remove yourself from the list should you no longer wish to receive emails and offers from ourselves.

The type of information we will collect about you includes your name, postal address, email address and credit / debit card details (these are not stored on our system, they are used only when entered at the time of ordering to process the transaction). We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us at care@contact2.com. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law and the Which? Web Trader Code. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. This includes using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. Cookies are used to keep track of who you are (a cookie is a small piece of data sent by a web server to and from a web browser, which enables the server to collect information back from the browser). Information automatically collected about your visit to contact2.com includes demographic data and browsing patterns and is only used in aggregate form so cannot be used to identify you.
